I’m Margaret Lulic. My husband likes to tease me that I have increased the national average of career changes by myself. It’s true that I have worked in many areas – education, non-profits, government, and business (as both an employee and as an entrepreneur). I’ve had my own business for over twenty years.
What has stayed constant is my love of family and home and my commitment to ethics, values and a philosophical outlook in all my careers. That has enriched everything I do and everyone I meet.
I have inspired my home and it has inspired me. That inspiration includes bringing more beauty into my home, garden and world, and more harmony into relationships, and enriching my parenting. It fills me up and gives me the health, energy and wisdom to do my other work in the world.
I’ve always loved to do projects around my home. And my daughter has always loved my stories about her and the house and everything in it. What started as stories I’d collected for her became a book (to my surprise) and was released this fall, Home — Inspired by Love and Beauty.
Then I realized how often I have coached people about their home, not just their careers and workplaces. (I’m known as a consulting philosopher.) This blog, custom workshops in people’s homes, and individual private sessions in person, by phone and Skype are all evolving. So my home has inspired my life and work. I hope to provide a meeting place for people who love their homes, want more inspiration or have insights to offer.
